Serge Devant returns to one of his favored labels with his 'White Groove' EP, delivering a pair of deep, textured tracks that will vitalize any rigid dancefloor. Archie Hamilton makes his Crosstown Rebels debut and supplies a punchy, tripped-out revision of lead track 'White Groove'.

White Groove is an absorbing mix of rumbling sub bass, soft, textured percussion, and ethereal pads. Loose percussion and a tough kick carve out the initial vibe on 'Connect To Server'. A hypnotizing, low-riding synth is the final layer and helps generate even more groove into this peak time roller.

Archie Hamilton switches up White Groove, revising the bassline into a buzzing, forward pushing rhythm but retains the mystical feel of the original, bolstering the whirring pads and using intricate percussive sounds and FX.

Serge Devant hails from Brooklyn, NY and released his seminal track 'Fearing Love' in 2015 on Emerald City. Since then he has been championed by Damian Lazarus, a firm favorite on both Crosstown Rebels and Rebellion, whilst also receiving plaudits for his releases on Knee Deep In Sound and Circus Recordings. Serge Devant & Damiano Feat. Camille Safiya - Thinking Of You (CRM183)

Following monumental releases on both Rebellion and Crosstown Rebels, Serge Devant is back on board the label to deliver one of his best to date. The immensely sensual Thinking Of You sees his team up once again with Damiano and Camille Safiya with invigorating remixes from heavy-weights Reboot and Art Department.

Serge Devant has been turning heads since the seminal Fearing Love feat. Camille Safiya dropped in 2015 on Emerald City, picking up the Best Music Video Award at the 2016 Hollywood Independent Reel Film Festival. Serge reveals : "It was so nice to have the same company back in the studio to work on more magic !" 'Thinking Of You' breaths the air of summer with its blissfully smooth chords and deep hypnotic tones. He explains "This record took some time to finish; we recorded so many good vocal bits, it made it difficult to choose what to keep.". Serge also provides an electrifying 'Floor Cut' for those later hours.

Frankfurt's Reboot brings his flavor to the release with intricate percs and deep underlying pads. Growing up in Sven Väth's Omen Club, the talented musician now spearheads the 'New Sound Of Frankfurt' and has released on a wealth of labels like Connaisseur Recordings, Supplement Facts, Combi Int, Moon Harbour, Cadenza and Get Physical Music.

Welcomed back on Crosstown Rebels , No. 19 boss Jonny White Aka Art Department delivers a raw, techno cut in his 'Modular Perspective' Remix, complemented by his 'Jaded Perspective'remix which packs more swing but hold techno energy for the dancefloor. Serge Devant - This Moment (CRM168)

The magic of music is how it can enchant you after just moments of listening. As the summer draws to an end Serge Devant returns once more to Damian Lazarus's Crosstown Rebels with a release that does just that. Creating two original tracks and bringing Dinky and NU onboard for remixes, we are reminded of his prominent position within Dance Music.

Opening up the EP with "This Moment", Devant has created a track that implores the listener to stop and take in all the vibrations, effects and melodies. This is a piece of music that intricately weaves together a hefty bass, curious sounds and an effective hom. Dinky adds her signature vocals, synths and an incredibly pleasing warmth to her remix of 'This Moment'. German DJ and producer NU also rises to the remix duty as here he creates an almost unrecognizable version of 'This Moment', but one that fits perfectly, as images of heady Bedouin nights are conjured and dance before your eyes. An affiliate of Acid Pauli, NU will once more return to Crosstown Rebels next year when the pivotal 'Man O To' is re-released.

Serge Devant - Always On My Mind (CRM154)

Serge Devant returns to the forefront with 'Always On My Mind' for Damian Lazarus's Crosstown Rebels, complete with remixes from Kornél Kovacs and Pirupa. First heard on Lazarus's Essential Mix in 2015 and much requested since, 'Always On My Mind' has been causing tremors in its wake. Oceanic waves of melody frame muted vocals from Ali Love, resulting in a chiselled classic bridging the splintered sounds of today.

As Serge says, "The diversity of the remixes really makes this release shine". Pirupa's remix is a shadowy monster with a deviant bassline, allowing the vocal to etch out shards of light. His recent groundswell is undeniable, mapping out a chart-topping string of releases on the likes of Drumcode, Desolat and Noir. Stockholm's Kornél Kovacs has not escaped the spotlight in recent months, be it through his Studio Barnhus label that he runs together with Axel Boman and Pedrodollar, prolific releases on Numbers and Smallville and topping many end of the year charts for 2015. His effervescent remix rolls up its sleeves to distill elegance into the original, extending the vocal and braising the beats and melody.

With this release Serge Devant cements a triumphary year putting him back in center stage after an accident that tore him away from the studio and digs deeper into his production skills, adding to his growing repertoire of recent releases on Hot Creations' sister label Emerald City and Crosstown's cousin Rebellion. Devant mastered his craft at the legendary NYC nightclubs of the late 90s: Tunnel; Limelight And Crobar, carving out consistently compelling and dynamic sets. His production carrer started in 2008 and soon spawned two albums, and a touring schedule that has since seen Serge circumnavigate the globe.

Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons - We Will Return (CRM150)

Back from a whirlwind tour this summer taht included Glastonbury, Melt & Wilderness festivals plus a much-lauded residency at Heart in Ibiza, performing Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons' eccentric and immersive debut album for the first time, the band unveil their third single, "We Will Return".

Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons brings together a wide assortment of vocalists, collaborators and players from around the world and was joined at the production controls by James Ford (Simian Mobile Disco, Arctic Monkeys, Florence). Taking inspiration from Lazarus's Lazpod series, Get Lost events and Day Zero Festival in Mexico, the resulting album "Message From The Other Side" is a rich and ambitious project featuring musicians from LA, Egypt, Pakistan, Mozambique and Mexico's Yucatan Symphony Orchestra.

One of the UK's finest electronic songwriter and vocalist, Ali Love rose to fame providing vocals for The Chemical Brothers hit, "Do It Again", for their 2007 album "We Are The Night". Appearing since on Columbia Records, Back Yard Recordings and co-penning the Justice single "Civilization", used in the biggest Adidas commercial to date, Ali is now part of two of the biggest current dance acts: Infinity Ink and Hot Natured, the latter playing Coachella this year and scoring a place in the UK top 40 charts.

Serge Devant - The Way You Move / Intentions (RBL026)

Following on from the debut release on Jamie Jones & Lee Foss' new imprint, New Yorker Serga Devant makes his first appearance on Crosstown Rebels off-shoot Rebellion with talented duo Audiofly on remix duty.

"This EP was inspired by a recent trip to Thailand where I did a bunch of interesting field recordings. On the track "Intentions" you can hear anything from the gong meditation ceremony that I had pleasure of attending, to a rusty drain and sounds of the rainy night in the jungle all combined in this hypnotizing composition. Same goes for 'The Way You Move' which has an interesting vocal on top that fits right in with the vibe. I'm also extremely excited to have Audiofly on the remix who have done a great job" - Serge Devant.

Setting the tone of the release, 'The Way You Move' is deep and dark at the roots with haunting vocals and an other-wordly aura. Audiofly deliver a solid remix, keeping it deep with rolling percussion and hypnotic energy. Last up, 'Intentions' delivers an intricate yet heavy groove with a powerful build.

Serge Devant perfected his craft at legendary nightclubs such as Tunnel, Limelight and Crobar in NY from the late 90s. In 20078 he signed a deal with Ultra Records and released two albums. After releasing the first album in 2009, Serge began touring the world and forging a name for himself across the globe. After taking some time away from making music due to a serious back injury, he had the chance to rethink his musical direction. His latest release on Jamie Jones and Lee Foss' new label Emerald City followed by this outstanding release on Rebellion proves that Serge Devant is back and stronger than ever.

Luca Saporito and Anthony Middleton AKA Audiofly are one of the leading musical partnerships on the scene. Their releases can be found on the likes of Get Physical, VIVA Music, Desolat and their own Supernature. They Also run a successful series of events called Flying Circus that they take worldwide.
