Following monumental releases on both Rebellion and Crosstown Rebels, Serge Devant is back on board the label to deliver one of his best to date. The immensely sensual Thinking Of You sees his team up once again with Damiano and Camille Safiya with invigorating remixes from heavy-weights Reboot and Art Department.

Serge Devant has been turning heads since the seminal Fearing Love feat. Camille Safiya dropped in 2015 on Emerald City, picking up the Best Music Video Award at the 2016 Hollywood Independent Reel Film Festival. Serge reveals : "It was so nice to have the same company back in the studio to work on more magic !" 'Thinking Of You' breaths the air of summer with its blissfully smooth chords and deep hypnotic tones. He explains "This record took some time to finish; we recorded so many good vocal bits, it made it difficult to choose what to keep.". Serge also provides an electrifying 'Floor Cut' for those later hours.

Frankfurt's Reboot brings his flavor to the release with intricate percs and deep underlying pads. Growing up in Sven Väth's Omen Club, the talented musician now spearheads the 'New Sound Of Frankfurt' and has released on a wealth of labels like Connaisseur Recordings, Supplement Facts, Combi Int, Moon Harbour, Cadenza and Get Physical Music.

Welcomed back on Crosstown Rebels , No. 19 boss Jonny White Aka Art Department delivers a raw, techno cut in his 'Modular Perspective' Remix, complemented by his 'Jaded Perspective'remix which packs more swing but hold techno energy for the dancefloor. The Aphrohead alias was born back in 1993 as another outlet for prolific Chicago producer Felix Stallings, hailing instant anthems in 'In The Dark We Live', 'Thee Lite', 'Thee Industry made Me Do It' & 'Thee Underground Made Me Do It', creating a precedent in 90's techno on halcyon labels Bush, Global Cuts, Power Music, Thee Black Label & Radikal Fear.

'Let's Prance' is a long-anticipated eruption, it's futuristic tremors the first visions of a timeless album for Crosstown Rebels, complete with raw and industrial reworks from Art Department & BLUD, Radio Slave & Thomas Gandey and Christopher Trücher (the album's co-producer).

With the wait almost over for Jamie Jones’ second artist album ‘Tracks From The Crypt’ Crosstown Rebels get set to drop the absolutely massive single ‘Our Time In Liberty’ featuring cult dance outfit Art Department. A bassline symphony for the senses, this elusive slayer of dancefloors is finally getting a release alongside a heavy-duty remix from comrade Russ Yallop.

Jamie Jones has had a monumental impact on the underground house scene for this generation and out in June ‘Tracks From The Crypt’ - a collection of tracks that Jamie has created over the past few years – will epitomise the producers’ influential sound and include highly-anticipated unreleased tracks such as ‘Paradise’ and ‘Frequencies’. Now Jamie Jones is synonymous with Hot Creations, the label he started in 2010 with Lee Foss and currently one of the biggest underground labels in the world, but this release signifies a return to the artist sound that brought Jamie Jones to superstar status as a DJ and innovator.

The original ‘Our Time In Liberty’ is already a huge record without even seeing an official release, amassing thousands of views on youtube and carrying the full force of that old school Jamie Jones bassline hook on a progressive twisted trip. The ever haunting, distinctive vocals of Kenny Glasgow and the synth stabs and bass hydraulics combined, make ‘Our Time In Liberty’ a sheer sonic force to be reckoned with.

Vocalist Kenny Glasgow and No.19 boss Jonny White aka Art Department had a meteoric rise in 2011 when they unleashed ‘Without You’ – one of the biggest bombs hit the underground that year followed by killer debut LP ‘The Drawing Board’ on Crosstown Rebels. One of the Toronto scene’s finest exports, Art Department have created a sound that is burned on the collective memory.

Next up on the release, another member of the nu-school brigade Russ Yallop makes a welcome return to the mothership Crosstown, delivering a tougher, more upfront remix with heavy bass punching through the warped melody - soaring synths, sinister FX and a UK underground vibe.

ART DEPARTMENT - THE DRAWING BOARD

A lot has happened since Art Department’s debut EP Without You (2009). The North-American duo, consisting of Kenny Glasgow and Jonny White, has made it to the big league with a variety of chart topping productions and remixes, and recently dropped their first full length album The Drawing Board.

The album pretty much reflects Art Depts. well-known sound, which is often referred to as ‘gothic house’ due to the heavy use deep-bleep synths and dark bass work elements while incorporating elements from hiphop to dub to Chicago house and anything else that sounds slightly muddy and swampy. A closer listen reveals a handful of similarities between the sound of Art Department and their musical mentor Damian Lazarus, although the album as a whole clearly has a very personal touch.

The album opens with Much Too Much, a lovely deep houser with a killer melody and vocal parts we’re not sure what to think of. After this somewhat bumpy start, the album luckily continues to serve up monster tunes such as the very trippy Tell Me Why pt.1, the deep and super funky What Does It Sounds Like? and their classic, intense club stomper Without You. In the second half of the album we find one of our personal favorites from the duo: Vampire Nightclub ft. Seth Troxler, a slow-moving semi-disco house cut with a great vibe and colorful melody layers, after which the album comes to an end with a few more experimental in the form of Robert’s Cry and I C U.
