How 'Get Lost 4' would have looked like ?!

Here are two drawings by Paul Jeffrey that were not chosen to make the design of the 'Get Lost 4' release. Have a look:

Remind me of Damian's Album (Smoke the Monster Out).

And now is a series of pictures by Sebastian Dittmann , the one who designed the 'Get Lost 4' cover.

Guti & Fosky - Step EP (CRM088)

This is the last release of the year for Crosstown and what a year it’s been and what a release to close it! Guti returns to the fold alongside Fosky, armed with a Martinez Brothers Remix. The ‘Step EP’ is something special for Christmas that you’ll be playing all through next year.
After Guti & Dubshape’s huge ‘Every Cow Has A Bird’ release last year on Crosstown and after his great ‘Patio De Juegos’ debut album on Desolat, Guti now teams up with long-term friend Fosky on this great EP. Working together on the A Side ‘Step’ title track they have created something quite special indeed. A simple snare introduction with sampled vocal gives way to rib rattling percussion, a low slung Hammond, casual bongos and then the most monstrous bass you’ve ever heard this side of Dusseldorf explodes out of the track and headlong into the stratosphere. Clever use of percussion, huge timbales, muted horns and that throbbing subsonic bassline push the track forward as the soaring soul-drenched vocal pierce the omnipresent bass. Play this loud and witness the devastation it causes in a club.
Next up is the great ‘Jealous Guy’ by Guti, a great low slung sub-aquatic house track, a great combination of pot & pan percussion, eerie keys and outer- worldly vocals hang perfectly together strung up along the shimmying rhythm.
On the flip and The Martinez Brothers remix Fosky’s ‘Shiva’, which originally appeared on Damian Lazarus’s Get Lost 4 album this September. The Bronx based Martinez Brothers have had some stunning releases on Dennis Ferrer’s Objectivity label in recent years and are now highly in demand, and by the quality of this remix it’s easy to see why. They take the original version of ‘Shiva’ into darker territory adding a growling bass, flanging percussion and incessant hi-hats as Shiva’s vocals strain above the rolling groove. What a great remix, and what a great way to end the year for Crosstown Rebels. Can’t wait to see what gems are in store for 2012.

    Damian Lazarus on Electronicbeats

Damain Lazarus, the Crosstown Rebels main main, producer and dance-floor slaying DJ steps up for the 10 x 4 today. The last 12 months have seen him take his Rebel Rave show across the world, record and release the latest in his 'Get Lost' series of mixes, as well continuing to deliver his always on-point monthly Lazpod podcasts. Not only that but Crosstown rebels put out some of the best house and techno records of the last year - including the stunning Art Dept album. Lazarus it would seem, is more important to the underground dance scene music than ever. You can check out the latest form the Rebels camp on Rebel Rave 2.
