Satori returns to Crosstown Rebels with his atmospheric album MAKTUB. Here is a four track vinyl sampler from the album, including a live unreleased vinyl only version of 'While I Miss You'.

Music flows through the veins of Satori. No ordinary artist, he is creating deeply spiritual music through a range of instruments and production techniques. MAKTUB, his debut album on the illustrious Crosstown Rebels pulls the listener into an exotic world, blurring the lines between electronic and meditative music.

At the core of MAKTUB is Satori's desire to touch people with his music, and his vocals shine through from start to finish, as he guides the listener on an Arabian Nights inspired journey. Satori - Imani's Dress (CRM173)

The enchanting and notorious Satori unveils Imani's Dress, the first snippet of his forthcoming album due for release this Spring on the illustrious Crosstown Rebels, with Matthew Dear and Ewan Pearson providing hefty remixes.

Satori is no ordinary producer and live artist. Born to a Serbian father and South African mother, the man behind the instrument is a meditative music-lover on a deeply spiritual journey. Creating melodies on the piano, kora, kalimba and guitar, his live shows are mind-altering.

Thump Magazine noted his "African music, gypsy and Balkan influences" and through a nominal handful of remixes and releases, Satori has become highly sought after, collaborating with South African charity Bridges For Music and performing at Boiler Room's biggest show of 2016 at ADE.

Imani's Dress waas the spark for the creation of Satori's debut album after Damian Lazarus heard it and requested to hear more from the visionary artist. Hungry and eager, Satori locked himself in a secluded studio and finished the album, and soon after it was signed to it's spiritual home, Crosstown Rebels. "Imani's Dress is the track that put this collaboration into motion", explains Satori. "This track is special and the logical first single".

DJ and production heavyweight Matthew Dear's remix is a skillful demon that illustrates why he is a pivotal artist in the electronic music arena. Ewan Pearson's remix is an ode to the guitar. Creating music for over two decades, here his warm riffs are infused with soothing synths and a meticulous groove.

Dinky - Casa (CRM163)

Chilean born and berlin based Dinky has forged a solid and illustrious career over the past decade. 'Casa' announces her new album set for release on Damian Lazarus's Crosstown Rebels this autumn, with remixes from Axel Boman and Satori.

A trained classical guitarist, singer and keyboard player that has held a DJ residency at Berlin's infamous Panorama Bar since 2004, Dinky's sixth album, also titled 'Casa' will be the first since the birth of her two children. 'Casa is an acid vocal love song. It translates as house in spanish, not because it's a house album but because it was recorded in my house in Berlin whilst I was pregnant with my second son. I had to stay home (mainly in bed) for months due to a medical risk. Those were very scary times for me and my family as we were told we could lose him. It was a such difficult journey but I decided not to get down, but to channel my energy into writing music.'

Dinky's delicate vocal on 'Casa' is both uptempo and spacious, with infusions of acid, leftfield and electronica in its veins. Axel Boman delivers a stunning, emotive and epic nine and a half minute dub version, overlaid with spoken words samples referring to lost experiences. The Swedish born producer is much-lauded for his releases on DJ Koze's Pampa, Permanent Vacation and his own imprint, Studio Barnhus, formed with Kornel Kovacs and Petter Nordkvist of Border Community. While the hedonistic take from Satori

takes 'Casa' up beyond the horizon. A future Crosstown Rebels artist, Satori  has released on 8bit Records, Under Your Skin and Bla Bla Records.

'For me it's a very honest project and Damian loved it so I was more than happy to work with him again. Dinky enthuses on the long friendship that they have shared. 'After taking a few years of intense touring, I felt ready to tour again and release my sixth album. Many of the songs were written for my sons, my husband, motherhood, love and also things that were happening in the world at the time'

'Casa' sees a return to form for Dinky and a welcome return to the Crosstown imprint, after releasing a single and a mix album for the pioneering label.
