Frontman, songwriter, musician and straight up entertainer, the inimitable Ali Love has many sides. Aboard a non­-stop thrill ride as part of Infinity Ink and Hot Natured throughout 2012/2013, the dust was only beginning to settle when Ali Love dropped his third solo album ‘P.U.M.P.’ on Crosstown Rebels at the height of summer. Described by Mixmag as “his best work to date” P.U.M.P is the pinnacle of Ali’s life long journey through broad spectrum of music styles. An album that conveys the building blocks for one of the most distinctive voices in UK dance music, Ali’s refusal to stay in his box has produced a piece of work that’s the perfect antidote for modern day ‘track’ culture. ´P.U.M.P.´ spans psychedelic house, cosmic disco and soulful downtempo all with the common thread of Ali’s golden vocals. One of the standout tracks from this cult summer album is next single ‘Perfect Picture’, an uplifting flash back to rave swagger with flashes of old school breaks. Original dubstepper Skream, crossover star Route 94 and close collaborator Luca Cazal alongside Dubka all offer up their distinct interpretations to the psychedelic mixing pot.

     Skream’s epic rework of ‘Perfect Picture’ is a spiralling bass driven strings spectacular taking Ali’s voice to a haunting level. Having been a pioneer in the Croydon dubstep scene and now a BBC Radio host and tastemaker, the unstoppable Ollie ‘Skream’ Jones brings his unbridled energy to this emotive raw driving house cut to cinematic effect.

      Luca Cazal is one quarter of the formidable Hot Natured and one half of Infinity Ink with Ali Love. With a long­-running relationship with Ali in both life and music and a solo alias on the rise, Luca was a natural choice of remixer. Here with ex Cazals band mate Dubka, ‘Perfect Picture’ is given a stripped back techy framework with warping synth patterns for a late night trip.

     Getting named one of Rinse FM’s artists to watch in 2014, Route 94’s rise to prominence has been rapid. Championed by BBC radio tastemakers, appearing at festivals worldwide and producing a track for Katy B’s latest album as well as vocal anthem My Love feat. Jess Glynne (both via Rinse), Route 94’s twist on ‘Perfect Picture’ is another bona fide bomb with a killer build up, heavy low­-end and bleep filled hypnotic groove.

      Ali Love’s last seven releases, whether with Hot Natured, Infinity Ink or as solo artist, were all Radio One Essential New Tunes. Third solo album P.U.M.P was produced and co­-written alongside Steve Dub (Chemical Brothers / Primal Scream) and Mark Ralph (Hot Natured / Hot Chip) and gained accolades across the board from tastemakers and media alike, a tour de force of “sumptuous summer sounds” (DJ Mag) and “willfully weird” and “rarely less than entertaining” (ResidentAdvisor). Ali will be taking the album live on tour in the not too distant future.

Ali Love - P.U.M.P. (CRMCD026)

Ali Love will drop a new LP on July 14th. P.U.M.P. follows Alexander Williams' 2010 album Love Harder, but he's probably better-known for his work as a vocalist with Hot Natured and Infinity Ink—he's the voice behind hits like "Benediction" and "Infinity." He's a producer as well, however, and after releasing a few EPs on Crosstown Rebels he'll return to the label for P.U.M.P.. Williams handles all instruments and programming on P.U.M.P., which a press release describes as a "seamless mix... the nemesis of modern day dance music 'track' culture." First single "Deep In The Night," which you can stream below, hints at a funky, bass-heavy sound not too far removed from his recent Crosstown work. "Initially I didn't set out to make an album," Williams says, "rather, this music has come naturally over a long period. It’s informed by the broad spectrum of music tribes I’ve encountered on my ongoing journey into sound. This is music made for the love of just making it.” The record features collaborations with Kali and Art Department's Kenny Glasgow.

Ali Love - Another (CRM117)

Ali Love, one half of dance duo Infinity Ink and the voice of the illustrious  Hot Natured, announces his new single ´Another’ on Crosstown Rebels. Ali´s previous single ´Emperor´ featuring Kali picked up significant radio time, with support and Essential New Tune from Pete Tong and on daytime with Sara Cox, coupled with a huge remix from Maceo Plex that´s been heard on dancefloors all summer. Having headlined the dance stage at Glastonburywith Hot Natured and performed at every major festival in Europe with Infinity Ink, Ali´s new single ´Another’ comes highly anticipated.

Co-produced with Steve Dub,  ´Another´ pumps a four to the floor beat with glitchy percussion and slinky synthetic tops with the distinctive soothing and psychedelic sounds of Ali´s vocals. Techno soul at its best. The single comes with remixes from Tuff City Kids (aka Gerd Janson & Phillip Laur) and the inimitable Felix Da Housecat. Tuff City Kids channel Reese, and drive it deeper, whilst Felix Da Housecat smooths things out and turns the emotion dial to 11. It´s quite the package.

Ali is busy putting the finishing touches to next year´s album. ´Another´ is a sign of big things to come.

Ali Love Feat. Kali - Emperor (CRM108)

2013 is set to be an incredible year for Ali Love. The London-based producer and vocalist has recently inked a deal with the legendary Crosstown Rebels label and is currently putting the finishing touches to a new album (the follow up to 2010’s Love Harder). The first track to be taken from the album is ´Emperor´, which features additional vocals from Kali. The single will be available on 12" and download and comes backed with remixes from Waze & Odyssey and Maceo Plex. 

 ‘Emperor’ comes on the back of a creative purple patch for Ali Love. As a member of both Hot Natured (with Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Luca C) and Infinity Ink (with Luca C) Love has recently been part of two of the biggest club tracks of the last twelve months in ´Benediction´ and ´Infinity´. This upward trajectory is set to continue with Hot Natured making their debut live appearance with two headline shows at London´s 5000 capacity Brixton Academy, and a debut Hot Natured LP set for release later this year.  

Ali Love’s new album will be released later in 2013 on Crosstown Rebels. As one of the UK’s finest electronic songwriters and vocalists, 2013 is set to see Ali deliver on all the potential he’s always promised, and receive the recognition he deserves.

Long-term friends and cohorts Ali Love and Luca C have succeeded with something quite extraordinary in their new production guise as Infinity Ink. Already amassing a legion of support and an escalating fan-base their unique cosmic take on garage has struck a chord with the dance-floor and beyond. ‘Infinity’ has been one of Crosstown Rebels most highly anticipated records of recent times. A smattering of DJ’s, from Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Damian Lazarus, Lee Foss and Art Department have been championing its intoxicating qualities to nigh on sonic-hysteria over the past few months.
